Space Articles & Info

Space Articles & Info

Below are brief summaries of different articles and info pertaining to historical activities in Space by our President, Drazen E. Premate who holds a Masters Degree in Space Technology & Sciences.

Track developments with International Space Station

Introducing Another New Space Enterprise – International Space Corporation – an ad about International Space Corporation (ISC) and its services offered on Florida’s Space Coast (1984).

Normal Freezing Space Furnace (NFSF) – pictures, description and design diagram of the space furnace that was built by International Space Corporation (ISC), Drazen Premate and Bill Aldrich for the test flights inside the cargo bay of the Space Shuttle to manufacture high quality electronic crystals in zero-g that are otherwise very difficult or impossible to make on the ground.

International Space Corporation – a two page article on ISC.

Space Furnace wins NASA JEA – An article published in Space Business news (01/1986) about International Space Corporation (ISC) signing a Joint Endeavor agreement with NASA to fly its Normal Freezing Furnace on 6-7 flights on the Space Shuttle.

Corporation seeks perfect crystal – An article published in Florida Today (02/86) about ISC and its plan to grow perfect crystals for electronic industry in the zero gravity of space.

GAS Patch and NASA Recognition Certificate – an example of a NASA Recognition Certificate and a GAS Patch (flown in space on the same mission) awarded to all participants of a particular Get Away Special (GAS) project that has been successfully flown on the Shuttle. This particular one was received by Drazen E. Premate for his specific involvement in the G-032 Get Away Special Payload and project.

Drazenov kanister u “Space Shuttleu” – an article written about one of Drazen’s Space Projects in the daily newspaper “Vjesnik” in Croatia in 1980. This Get Away Special (GAS) Project was designed by Drazen to study from the Earth orbit the concentrations of CO2 in the atmosphere. This particular GAS payload design was then adapted by other physics and space sciences students at the Florida Institute of Technology in Melbourne, FL for multiple CO2 check re-flights on the Space Shuttle.

Prvi let “Space Shuttlea” – an article written by Drazen in his native language about how it should feel during the first flight of the Space Shuttle. Published in “Covjek & Svemir” (Man & Space Publication), Issue 2, 1980, prior to the first space shuttle flight.

Zasto kasni Space Shuttle – an article written by Drazen in his native language about why the first flight of the Space Shuttle has been delayed. Published in “Covjek & Svemir” (Man & Space Publication), Issue 3, 1980.
